Adsense achievements and plans. My secret traffic weapon launch.

Today is the first calendar day of fall. A good excuse to look at what has been achieved, and to plan on further achievements. So, my Adsense income in July was a tad shy of $40, and it finally broke $100 payout threshold. Wow, I could get my first ever Adsense check! In August I made $245 plus change. Quite an impressive jump, don't you think? Does this mean I should expect 245*(245/40)=$1500 in September? As much as I would love to, I really doubt it's doable.

I planned to make at least $100 in August. My plans for September are $450. Why not $1500? Cause I plan based on daily income. At the end of July Adsense daily income was about $3. I multiplied this by 31 and rounded up. At the end of September my average day was $15. If you multiply this by 30, you get 450. If history is to repeat itself, I might get happy and hit $1000. This is because August gave me 2.5 times more than what was planned. So, getting anywhere between $450 and $1000 on Adsense is planned for September. Let's watch how this will unfold.

Adsense aside, today is Day X for my secret traffic weapon! Everything is in line. Accounts have been created, message has been prepared. Nothing else to do than to wait for the Time X. When it comes? I think the best time will be noon. EST. I want to let people in several time zones wake up after night out. Get their coffee. And get in front of the screen. Like I just did.

Noon of September 1st. Sounds good for me, so time X is set, and countdown started. I will launch the secret weapon at noon. Well, start launching to be exact. The process will take 10-15 minutes, may be even more cause this is the first time I'm using this tool. I expect the traffic and Adsense revenue to pick up dramatically.

Here is a look of traffic to this blog on Google analytics:

I'm intrigued to see if I am able to change this picture dramatically.

Adsense showed just $0.03 for the life of this blog so far. We'll see if the secret weapon makes any difference.

New Adsense layout for this blog. Traffic generation secret weapon.

Since I'm going to try and milk this blog, too, I decided to seriously revamp adsense layout here, before trying to bring any traffic in. I did not go to any coding extremes and just used whatever is available on the template control panel. Well, you see the resulting layout. I have a separate URL channel for this blog, so I can track it easily. I will post the results here - of course those allowed by TOS - namely how much Adsense made for me. And traffic from analytics wouldn't hurt either.

Now, I need some traffic for that Adsense thing to work, do I? I just aquired a secret weapon, and I'm going to give it a try. This blog is fresh and new, it did not get any exposure yet except for blogger pings, and this will put the weapon for the ultimate test. We'll see how it goes. I'm not launching it tonight, though, as I know Friday night is not very active in terms of traffic. People go out and have life instead of starring on the screen. I guess I'll try tomorrow, so bored IT specialists will have something to do on Saturday.

Site improvements for better ranking. First ever Adsense check!

Giving a second thought to improving ddir google and yahoo rankings, I ran IBP one more time on google top ten (top four to be precise - since my current position is five), and I decided to change the title. I'm mentioning the main keyword two times there now. It took a while to figure out how to do this both user- and search engine-friendly. Some meta keywords shuffle has been done, too - but I believe it does not have much importance any more. Slight changes to meta description, and - the biggy - adding some copy to the page itself. Hope this will have some effect.

Got a first ever Adsense payment today! Money hard earned during the year from the moment I put Adsense snippets on the site. This is definitely something to celebrate. I'm too tired for celebration, though, and this is bad. I know this is bad, but I just can't help it. This is probably the human nature - I'm always dissatisfied with what I already achieved. I always want more and more and more. As I write this, my Adsense counter for the current days shows $14.25. It would made me happy a week ago, but now I'm wiggling my nose... I guess it's not only me, we all feel that way pretty often. We just can't be satisfied for more than a couple of seconds... I need to work on this.

Yahoo SERPs still not improved. Record traffic. Record Adsense day.

Traffic on yahoo still down, because SERP position is still five. Nothing else I can really do, cause I'm already running a campaign with articles and directory submissions, including those keywords. And I don't want to shift the focus, cause the campaign is mostly about different keyword cluster. I just have to wait a couple of weeks and see if things improve.

Google traffic is great. I'm getting more than a thousand visitors second day in a row (record!), and they click better. Yesterday I set the new Adsense record - $20 a day. My position moved down from third to fifth however, so I don't think I get such spectacular results tomorrow.
