Received 20 articles on defd. Now need to spin them. This will be quite a task for the weekend. But then I just need to sit back and relax for some time while the service will submit spun articles to directories.
Not sure what is going on with different ad zones on ddir. Does not look like a bunch of "improvements" did actually improve anything. Will evaluate more accurately over the weekend, but so far it looks like it got worse, not better. Since I applied a bunch of changes, now I have to test them one by one. A week is lost - that's why they say one shouldn't do several changes, one change at a time…
Got a first click on defd today - not exactly what I expected, but still extremely good comparing to what I have on ddir. Now I need traffic there - that's what articles are for, and all those paid directory submissions, too.

Ordered articles. Cancelled Stomper membership.
Yesterday was devoted mainly to the things not related to the Internet. However, a few things have been done on that side, too.
I finally ordered a series of articles on defd. Two places, $7.5 and $15 a piece. I'm going to spin those and submit unique ones to directories. BOTW listed me under blogs for some reason, and changed title and description dramatically. Well, looks like I have to live with this. At least their page has PR4.
Cancelled Stomper SIMPLE membership - does not make any sense to pay for half-cooked product. I got a plenty of quality info though during those three moths I've been with them. Just a bit too much. I couldn't consume all this info, I need more time for this. Paying for info and not being able to use it looked like a waste of money.
Offered mom to build a blog for her so she can post her travel notes - she has literally hundreds of pages of those - but she declined. She does not want to go public.

Submitting to directories. Getting rid of the backlog.
Now, to get rid of the backlog, here is what have been logged in the previous days using short moments of Adsense Buddy existence:
7/29/2007
Changed upper left block ads to links. Had to remove upper welcome message links, forum index top links and defd body links. Last two changed to ads.
8/3/2007
Added title leaderboard ads to all modules that have title. In ddir added CJ smart zone between get and print buttons, bold blue link.
8/4/2007
Changed left block links - merged them with the site menu, and changed colors and design to blend both perfectly.
8/5/2007
Disabled homepage upper right ad block for better directories approval. Cut off irrelevant info at the end of the welcome message. Need to add benefits for visitor at the beginning.
Also, got approved to BOTW and site-sift. Waiting for Yahoo, Aviva, and Iwebtool...

Why Adsense Diary?
Well, this blog was born because Adsense Buddy did not want to work on my machine. Seriously. I just bought Joel's ebook a week ago, and Adsense Buddy came with it as a bonus. It has built-in journal to record whatever you do to your site, so I decided I give it a try and finally start logging what I do. No luck though. It did not want to work. Helpdesk advised me to delete all cookies and reinstall, what I did. Well, it worked. Kinda. For a few minutes. Than it stopped working for good.
I'm a lazy man, I'm not going to wipe off all my cookies several times a day just to make Adsense Buddy happy, so I gave up on it. But I decided I'm going to keep a log, remember? I figured I could use Blogger as well - at the end blog is just a web log, is it?
I'm going to try and keep my diary of mating Adsense to my main site. My site is not MFA, I'm building it around my passion, but making a few bucks never hurts and helps to pay server fees and then some. Considering I started to get some traffic lately, site is paying for itself. Now I'm wondering if I can squeeze a few more bucks out of it.
Why Blogger? Well, Blogger equals Google equals Adsense. So why not? I might be able to make a few bucks on that side, too :)
